Kanji, obsessed with finding a cure for cancer after his sister's death, pushes himself to exhaustion in his pursuit of becoming the greatest pharmacist.  He dies from overwork, only to wake up as Pharma, a young boy in a new world, with a strange tingling sensation in his arm and a worried attendant named Lot by his side.
