This reminds me of when my best friend moved across the country. We'd known each other since kindergarten, and it felt like a piece of me was missing. Seeing Patrick's reaction brought back all those emotions. Change is hard, but it's also a part of life. We have to learn to adapt and cherish the memories we've made. I'm definitely going to miss seeing Meredith on my screen, but I wish Ellen all the best in her future endeavors.

While I respect Ellen's decision, I feel like the writers could have handled her exit better. Killing off Meredith would've been too cliché, but this feels rushed. They should've given her a proper send-off storyline.
