Years ago, my family had a "middle Christmas" tradition of our own, though we called it "Boxing Day Part 2." We'd gather again, still bloated from Christmas dinner, and play silly party games. One year, my uncle, dressed as Santa (badly, I might add), got stuck in the chimney. The fire department had to come rescue him. It was chaotic, hilarious, and utterly unforgettable. It's the imperfect, funny moments like these that truly make a holiday special, more than any fancy dress or perfectly decorated tree. Makes me wonder what Nicola's tradition entails!
