During the filming of "Full House", actors would often entertain themselves by finding unique ways to pass the time, such as having fun with Whip-It cans. The Olsen Twins may have witnessed these antics but weren't always present on set. As they matured, differences between the twins became more apparent, causing some friction as they were playing the same character. Unknown to some fans, the Olsen Twins are actually fraternal, with Ashley developing a freckle that nearly cost her the role. The twins were also offered candy to improve their performance, a tactic which didn't sit well with Mary-Kate. Another source of amusement was when Dave Coulier encouraged actors to wear shorts on set to lighten the mood, a move that upset some parents. Financial disagreements also arose, with the twins' parents having to negotiate higher pay. Even Bob Saget, who played Danny Tanner, considered leaving due to the show's perceived low quality. However, Full House became a stepping stone to their successful careers in Hollywood and the fashion industry. Despite the hardships, the twins nostalgically recall designing their own clothes and being among the youngest producers in the industry.
